Very difficult to contact directly. We needed a car replacement due to an accident but had to deal with the road side assistant. Budget does not deal with it. We had to wait for 6.5 hours for a vehicle replacement
The wait time at the rental point was too long. However, when it was my turn to complete the paperwork, the process was quite smooth. Although they tried to upsell insurance, they didn't hassle me when I declined, unlike other rental companies where rejecting their insurance leads to intentional delays in processing.
Budget's business is booming! I waited over an hour in line to get the car. The counter staff was aggressively selling insurance, which was really annoying! They spent a long time checking my Chinese license and documentation and even wrote my address incorrectly! Finally, after finishing the paperwork, I still had to wait another half an hour to get the car. Sigh!
The car rental location at Maui Airport is quite far, but there's a shuttle bus. When there are more customers, they open more counters. I had to wait about fifteen minutes. They asked us a few questions and if I didn't mind a two-door car. Very considerate and quick service.
Terrible experience. We waited over an hour to get the car, and they gave us the wrong one. The staff was rude. The car key was broken and often didn't start the car. Contacting customer service was useless; they just ignored us. Absolutely awful, we will never choose this company again to save a little money.
It was the peak time for flight arrivals when we got there, and we had to wait in line for nearly two hours to get the car. The process itself was smooth, and the staff were very friendly without trying to sell any additional insurance.
The first time, there was no car in the parking spot, and the second time, the fuel tank was only 1/4 full. Other rental companies would have upgraded me to the next model for free by now.
When I picked up the car, I told them I had prepaid all fees and didn't need any additional charges. I asked to add my daughter as the second driver, they said it would be $13 per day. I mentioned it should include two drivers. They said the second driver can only be the spouse. I argued that it didn't make sense, but they insisted it was their policy. I decided to add my daughter, declined all other services, and signed a document they presented to me. When returning the car, they charged me nearly $100 more, including $65 for the second driver and $48.93 for other fees, claiming I had signed for all these charges. This is outrageous!
