We arrived to pick up the car at the reserved time, but the rental company told us there were no cars available that day. After we argued, they told us to come back the next day. After returning the car, we were charged twice without any notification. The experience was very bad!!!
The car seat was broken and i didn't get a refund.
One of the kids vomited and they charged us a lot of money for cleanup- didn't let us clean on our own...
There was a problem with the computers at the counter so it took over three hours till we got the car... The counter staff was nice but could help much. Once we got the car everything was good.
“From Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, then to Tel Aviv Airport”
About Europcar:8.0/10
The counter for car pickup was very helpful. Since there were many people, they asked several times if I wanted to sit down for a bit. However, during the process, I was informed that exchanging the car at the airport would require an additional $39. This was not mentioned on the QEEQ app, and QEEQ had already been fully prepaid. Called QEEQ customer service, but after communicating with the staff, the issue is still pending. The attitude in the car pickup parking lot was indifferent.
When we picked up the car (mini van as we were 6 passengers) there was a piece of trim/floor on the floor of the car just sitting there. I had to take it out to give to the staff. There were many scratches and dents and the front bumper was questionable. The car worked fine but when we hit a certain speed it sounded like we were going to lose our front bumper.
They required us to have 3rd party insurance even though we were covered by our credit card and we were not allowed to rent without it. This was an additional 120$ US for 3 days.
Guys in the garage were extremely rude on the pick up. Then, on the drop off, the same guy who was extremely rude, with a cell phone flashlight, found a tiny nail in my tire after looking for it for 10 minutes. Still convinced the nail was in the car before we picked it up. Added an extra hour to our already 1 hour drop off time.
The store in Jerusalem was terrible and unprofessional. They mixed up our order, and the customer service added an extra rental day, starting a disaster. They charged us nearly 5,000 yuan without notifying us, and it wasn't even our fault; they were the ones who made the mistake.
The car had a security code that wasn't properly explained, causing the car to not start on the road, which was very dangerous. Other services were okay.
Due to traffic, I arrived at Europcar in downtown Jerusalem at 11:00 AM. The staff impatiently told me 'you are late, your car has been cancelled.' I have so many questions—where is it written in the policy that you cannot be late for pickup? I paid the full amount as a prepayment. With no other option, I had to communicate with this extremely dismissive staff member, demanding that they provide a car and show me the contract clause stating I cannot be late.
