I reserved a “Toyota Corolla” or similar car, however when picking up I was told my car was a Renault Clio, which to me is a smaller car class, since I am tall I had to pay for an upgrade. I had booked this same car class with other providers at Dublin airport previously and did not have any issues, will likely avoid europcar in future.
The vehicle was great and fit 6 comfortably. The trips with our luggage was cramped. Most importantly, Europcar staff were helpful, courteous, and gave us no troubles. We brought our insurance documents, which was accepted without question. They were efficient and friendly; I would definitely use this car hire again!
About QEEQ:10.0/10
I used the QEEQ app and the process was easy and seamless
“A great way to enjoy the beauty of Southern Ireland.”
About Europcar:9.0/10
Europcar was quick and efficient. Two points worth noting though
1. They seem to hold one of the highest deposits compared to theirs we spoke to.
2. They say they are in the airport but it is only their desk there. You take a free shuttle just a short distance to their actual compound. On arrival we waited 10-15 mins for the shuttle but it was immediate on departure. It is also just about a half mile away.

Qeeq as ever for me perfect from start to finish. Everything in place, price always leaves us smiling when we listen to what others say they pay and the extra insurance gave me piece of mind I would incur the £1800 excess that europcar impose.
No one inspected vehicle at pick up or drop off. We were told to send in a video of the car. We did that. We were charged $500 with no email explaining why. We didn’t do any damage to car at all. This rental was supposed to cost $812 instead it cost us $1700.00
very upset with this company
When I arrived in Dublin they hit me with the insurance charge. Asked if I had a letter from my credit card company about insurance. Of course I do not. Another customer was being asked the same question. That is a scam!
I have always been very happy with European rental and they accept my letter from my bank stating that my insurance is covered with them where other car rental companies will not accept that
The staff didn't give us the GPS we ordered. I thought it was built into the car. We were away from airport by the time we figured out we didn't have the hand held device. Good thing our phone had navigation. I called and asked for a credit. When I returned the car, I made sure I got my credit.
It was ok generally allthough it had more damage on it than was annotated on the forms and we were just told to photograph it and we made a video. The extra insurance we took out to cover damages was very misleading as Eurocar still took an imprint of our credit card in case we damaged it and then we were told we would have to claim it back through the insurance plan. The insurance was very expensive and it feels like you were just trying to make up the cost of the cheap hire by loading the insurance heavily. All this needs to be made a lot clearer and not put in small print.

“BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. DO NOT RENT FROM EUROPCAR DUBLIN”
About Europcar:3.0/10
I picked up the rental car at 22:15 in the dark and dropped it to Dublin approx 8:00 also in the dark. I was accused of scratching the car which I did not do. I showed them (Europcar Dublin airport) the cctv footage of the scratch 15 mins after pickup and they said it didnt matter because I didnt make them aware within the 12 hour window. I only had the car in my possession for 10 hours and the Cork office told me I had 24 hours to report any issues. (Cork Airport office was great). My review here does not allow me to choose my score which is wrong. The car was ok and drove well. it had scratches you would expect from a 2 year old rental car with 85,000kms. The issue is that they wanted to charge me $1500 first, then dropped it to $850 and then to $800 for damage I did not do. Even with video proof they still charged me and I am never ever going to use them again. I had insurance through QEEQ which covers me but it is the principle of the thing. The car had many other scratches on it 7 of which were highlighted in the pre inspection paperwork. so you think they have done their job and notated all the scratches. Make sure you take pics even in the dark as they obviously charged other people before me and never repaired the scratches that those people were charged for. I have 25 rentals on QEEQ alone and this is the only time I have been taken advantage of. DO NOT RENT from EUROPCAR. Plenty other decent companies renting in Dublin Airport. Hertz Dollar Trifty Alamo Budget Avis have all treated me well recently. I would have scored 5 for Europcar Cork Airport and 0 for Europcar Dublin Airport.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
My only issue with Qeeq is I want to set the score for my experience and not an algorithm. I would have scored 5 for Europcar Cork Airport and 0 for Europcar Dublin Airport.
Europcar was superb! High quality car, excellent customer service!
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Found a sweet deal in a tough rental market. QEEQ provided all necessary info for renting the car so when I showed up to the counter I had all needed documents.

Love this platform.. very competitive prices and extremely clear directions which was so helpful in renting abroad! I joined the diamond program for extra perks as they claim an extra 7% off at booking.com, however, I followed all instructions, compared to other platforms and really didn’t observe the savings. Perhaps it was there, just not very clear at checkout.
