Airport Terminal Instructions COUNTER: Domestic: Located on ground level opposite baggage claim. If unattended proceed to level 1 of the multi-story car park. International: Located at arrivals hall level 2. CARS: Domestic: Level 1 in the multi-story car park. International: Ground level, in front of terminal RETURNS: Follow signs for rental car returns. Domestic: Take the slip road on the right, into the P1 car park. International: Follow the road under the arrivals ramp and left into the rental area. AFTER HOURS RETURNS: Available 24hours. Domestic: Drop box at the back of Avis booth. International: Return slot at in the terminal counter

I paid at EasyRentCars. I presented my voucher to the counter at Brisbane airport. First, the man up-sell me for a bigger car. I said no. I clearly remember I declined the Excess Reduction ('ER') insurance coverage at the counter. The man asked to me to sign on his little 6" screen. He didn't print me the contract as he said they're going paperless. However, I found my credit card is charged more than double of the car rent for this ER insurance. The email contract showed I accepted the ER insurance which I surely I didn't. I won't rent from Budget ever again.

My 3 stars for value were because it turns out I could have rented an equivalent car for $25/day at a different car hire firm but was charged $41/day at Budget. Obviously that affects my rating for “Overall Value”. Otherwise it was an excellent car hire.

The service staff provided detailed explanations. When our reserved vehicle was unavailable, they offered us an SUV at no significant price difference, which was quite nice. There is a car rental counter right at the airport exit. You only need to provide your name to process the car pickup. The staff at the rental company are friendly. After filling out the necessary forms and providing the required information, you will receive the keys. The car can be picked up at a nearby parking lot with staff assistance. Returning the car at a different location was also smooth.

This car rental company is quite good. On April 11th at 5:30 AM, we returned the car at Sydney Airport. We were supposed to return it at the international terminal, but we returned it at the domestic terminal instead. The staff were very considerate and drove us to the international terminal. The Budget system at the site crashed and they said they would manually record the reservation info from the Rent a Car website since I had already prepaid. On the return day, Budget charged me again, claiming they couldn't find the reservation in their system and instructed me to sort it out with Rent a Car. Now both companies have charged me, and there's no response or refund for the extra money I paid. If this issue isn't resolved, I don't think I'll book through this platform again.
