La récupération de la voiture a pris 50 minutes et cela parce qu'il a fallu manifester son impatience au bout de 45 minutes, car on nous disait depuis le début, "la voiture arrive d'ici 10 minutes". D'autres attendaient depuis 2 heures ! C'est inadmissible pour un service qui a été réservé depuis longtemps.

Very long queue at the counter. Had to wait nearly an hour to pick the car up. However, the process itself was very smooth, the car was exactly as described, pretty much brand new and very clean.

I think it’s a really vile practice of goldcar to force you to buy their insurance online (there’s no other way to secure the booking online) then brazenly declare when you go to collect the car that the insurance you HAVE to buy is useless and will not cover you. I picked their cheapest cover and just bought my own (for about £12) but you could see the disappointment on the lady’s face when she couldn’t extort an extra £100 from me. If they’re going to use such money grubbing tactics why not just charge more for the rental? They really should be taken to court. I’m also still waiting for my credit card refund.
The car listing showed Standard Crossover, Peugeot 3008 or similar. But the actual car was a Toyota CHR which is much smaller both in terms of seating capacity and luggage. And the navigation system was faulty.
Absolutely appaling over 2 hours in an over heated over crwoded office with no communication of wait time .THE WORST POSSIBLE WOULD LIKE TO GIVE NO STARS
The website allowed us to return the car at 10:30 PM local time, but when we arrived at the return location a bit after 7 PM, it was already closed. The key drop box was sealed off too. In the end, we had no choice but to park the car in front of the return location and throw the keys into the store. Such an incident caused us significant inconvenience and frustration. Very disappointed, absolutely poor service, terrible, terrible, terrible!

I booked because the pick up was close to my hotel and I chose a Ford Focus because I drive one at home and would have found it easier to drive than another car. I was offered an 'upgrade' - a Jeep in bright metallic blue with all sorts of flap-doodles that I did not need. Luckily there was still a stick shift Renault Clio available and I opted to take that. There is always the assumption that the customer wants a 'new' car and every extra but having driven in French cities before one quickly notices that almost the only new cars are hire cars and that local drivers drive beat-up bangers and regard driving as a contact sport. I would be happier driving something that looked less conspicuous. In fact we were so anxious that we asked for the insurance 'up-sell'!

They told me to make an upgrade because they havent the car I rent. So when I returned the car, the amount was different. But I didnt ask to have an upgrade. So we complained in Niza and I home it resolve this problem.
Personnel d’accueil a la remise désagréable usant de tous les stratagèmes détournés pour vous mettre d’office des prestations supplémentaires sans votre accord et même malgré votre désaccord et sans vous les montrer en vous obligeant a signer sans récapituler votre facture. Attention au systeme de signature électronique qui ne vous permet pas de voir le montant total de votre location. Pratique commerciale mauvaise et douteuse qui ont brisée la confiance dans la compagnie budget que je ne reprendrais plus jamais.
2 personnes au guichet pour 10 personnes qui attendent. rien de bien mechant. accueil courtois et assez pro meme si un peu trop insistant sur la vente d'assurance.
mais voiture (captur) dans un état lamentable, sieges sales, carrosserie rayée, et surtout freins sur les disques, donc voiture vraiment dangereuse. avec seulement 44K au compteur ca fait beaucoup.
pourtant habitué de firefly je n'avais pas eu de gros soucis avec eux.
ce qui m'a le plus gené c'est l'explication du resp d'agence qui m'explique que les voitures ne sont pas cheres et qu'ils ne facturent plus le nottoyage...cela explique des voitures sales et en mauvais état mecanique.
Au lieu d’une Twingo, on m’a d’emblée proposé un véhicule dont l’autoradio était en panne (sans me dire le modèle ni la marque du véhicule de substitution). J’ai accepté en précisant que j’avais juste besoin de pouvoir recharger mon téléphone. À ma demande, on m’a assuré qu’à part ça tout fonctionnait normalement.
En montant dans le véhicule, j’ai constaté que le véhicule n’avait pas le plein... (aiguille au 3/4 de réservoir)
Le véhicule présentait plusieurs coups et griffures sur la carrosserie et l’intérieur n’avait pas été nettoyé...

See above - dreadful service on pick up, waited over two hours. Staff unhelpful and slow.
A really horrible experience without apology or explanation, nowhere even to sit down. I shall not go through that again.
Inexcusable and uncaring service.
