The staff turned cold as soon as they saw I was Chinese, and didn't want to say a word.

It was extremely slow. There were only two people ahead of us, but it took about an hour and a half from the start of the queue to getting our car keys.

This was my first time renting from Budget. Later I found out that Budget and Avis are the same company. Back in 2012, I rented from Avis in the U.S. and had a terrible experience, so I never booked with Avis again. This time, Budget was in downtown Barcelona, and the process was satisfactory. There were no other customers at the time, so it was quick. The staff spoke good English and were very attentive. I had booked a Golf but got a new red C4 instead, which was also nice. Returning the car was even simpler; they almost didn't check it. Oh, it seems they did glance at the fuel level. Overall, it was a pleasant car rental experience.

Though originally I wanted an Aygo to park it easier, they were so kind to upgrade me for free to Seat Arona. The car was perfect, very pleasant to drive, though actually I did not need that because parking easier was more important. Anyway, really positive experience, greatly recommend Budget Valencia Airport Office. Staff is great, they are pretty quick.

Waited over an hour at the pick up counter to get my rental that I prepaid online. And then waited another 20 minutes at the pick up location for the vehicle.
