The first customer service representative at the car rental counter tried to upsell some insurance and full-tank add-ons. There was a slight issue with the card payment, but it was resolved after identifying the cause. Early car pickup was not allowed without incurring additional charges. However, the second customer service representative quickly completed the check-in process without any extra sales pitches. Picking up the car was very convenient — you could directly take the car from the designated parking space. The car was very clean, with only 2000 miles on it, four-wheel drive, wireless CarPlay, and Type-C charging ports. It had better features than the model I originally booked.
When we arrived, they didn't provide the Rogue without extra charge. After an hour of hassle with elderly and kids, we received 300 compensation from the rental company. Honestly, we were too tired to argue more. Finally, we got a Toyota RAV4 that needed maintenance, and I paid an extra 300 dollars.
The car’s exterior looked quite new and the staff was very friendly. There was some incorrect information when we left, but the staff quickly resolved it.
The overall service of the rental company was acceptable. The condition of the car was average; it was a Jeep with 30,000 miles. The vehicle hadn't been thoroughly cleaned and had a lot of dust. Maintenance was mediocre, and the acceleration felt jerky. After driving for a while, I noticed a tire had low pressure. I inflated it at a gas station, but it continued to lose air slowly.
The car rental place at Salt Lake City Airport is very easy to find, right within the airport. The rental procedure is very convenient and quite fast. After completing the rental process, you can go down one level to the car pickup area. Just find your car according to the designated number, the key is in the car, and you can drive off right away. They just didn't inform me that the car model was changed, but it might be a car of the same grade.
There were very few people, so no queueing. The Nissan Rogue I booked wasn't available, and they wanted me to upgrade. I refused, so Dollar borrowed a Buick Encore from Thrifty next door.
The system is terrible. I tried 5 credit cards but couldn’t get through. Finally, I had to use a debit card for the deposit, which had to be entered manually. The whole process took nearly two hours!
Overall service was good. When the reserved car was not available, they provided several similar models to choose from, making car exchange convenient.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
