We arrived at the rental company near midnight, and the line was very long with only two staff members handling customers. After a long wait, more staff finally joined. There were no explanations in Chinese as mentioned earlier, which was a bit different from what we were told.
The guy at pick up was amazing. Gave us the best directions to get out of town and was lovely and friendly. Wish I could remember his name. And when I dropped car off the gentleman was just a lovely polite man and a pleasure to chat too. His name was Monsoor. I actually asked him to write it down cause he was such a gentleman.
“Experience was good but felt like I got ripped off due to not filling up gas to max.”
About Hertz:8.0/10
Ordered a medium suv gave me a large one, which felt too big. I filled up 95% gas they charged me over $60 for the 5% I missed which is very disappointing. Will not be using hertz again.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Very easy to use very satisfied with EasyRentCars.
The car was very dirty - not happy with its condition! We arrived at LAX late at night and the inside of the windscreen was filthy which made driving very dangerous. Reported it to the staff at pick up and drop off but no one seemed to care.
Very dissatisfied. This was my first time using this company. The person who attended to me was a woman, and without asking me, she added $500 of additional services. When I noticed and asked for a refund, she was reluctant. Meanwhile, there was an elderly white lady renting a car next to me, and this woman directly asked her if she wanted the service. The service was extremely poor! During the process, I had the customer service from the rental platform talk to her over the phone, but she was clearly unwilling and refused to take the call.
Bonjour,
The counter staff was a bit slow and sometimes chatted with the customers in front, but overall it was okay. Maybe it's just that Americans are more enthusiastic and can't help but start chatting?
Couldn't get a Challenger when picking up the car, they gave me a Charger instead, which I thought was okay since it's a V6. However, the rear tire had a slow leak, almost got stranded on the way to Grand Teton National Park. Had to keep inflating the tire until I found a place to exchange the car. They tried to give me a Cruze, but after some negotiation, I got an Escape. They still charged me $61.
Returning the car was relatively smooth, but they charged me $12 a few hours later, not sure what that was for.
A few years ago, I rented from Hertz in North Carolina, and their service was much better. Not sure if it's a regional difference or if Hertz has declined. I recommend not choosing Hertz...

After arriving in the US, I was in an unfamiliar place and didn't speak the language well. Unexpectedly, my SIM card didn't work. The rental company's shuttle bus had no markings, so I had to ask each driver individually— it was quite desperate! Why not send the pick-up location information earlier? This should be sent before the departure because once you land in another country, you can't always count on having a working phone signal! It's not considerate!
