From the moment we were picked up by the shuttle bus to the rent-a-car location, it took 70 minutes to get our car. Yes, 70 minutes! Five other customers who arrived after us all finished before us, leaving my family waiting foolishly for 70 minutes!!! I had booked the car for 11 AM, but due to a flight delay, we actually arrived at the pickup location at 3 PM. I had politely called the company at 11 AM to inform them of our delay, estimating around 3 PM arrival, but did not request to change the pickup time. When we arrived at 3 PM, a shuttle bus full of people arrived, and we saw three employees of the car rental company assisting other customers. New arrivals formed a queue, and I was first in line. I won't comment on the speed of the staff, but another shuttle arrived shortly with new customers, and two of them did not join the line and stood next to me. I stood in front of one staff member, while the two customers stood in front of a different staff member. When the left-side staff finished with previous customers, I approached him, but he refused to assist me and instead helped the new arrivals. I pointed out that I was there first, but he ignored me, insisting on helping them first, which made me feel discriminated against. The staff had no clear queue system, making me wait longer. This wasn't the most frustrating part. When it was finally my turn, I was told I needed to wait longer because they had no cars available, and the new vehicle was being prepared. Despite booking for 11 AM and paying in full, my car should have been ready even if I arrived at 3 PM. A Chinese-speaking manager told me that the cars are given out sequentially; if you're late, your car gets reallocated, and you have to wait. I will never rent from this company again. This New Zealand trip was utterly ruined by this experience. I rate this company negatively 100 times.

The car rental company is a 5-minute drive from the airport, with a shuttle service that is fairly quick. We waited a short while to get the car, and when returning it during business hours, they did a quick check and then took us to the airport. We soon received a return email. Overall, aside from the car being a bit old, it was a pretty good experience.
The attitude of the rental company was bad. We requested a car inspection at 10 PM, but the store staff hurried us to leave, saying it would affect their closing time. However, when picking up the car, they immediately noticed a barely visible dent. The attitude of the Asian staff at the store was particularly poor.
