Spain Car Rentals

Check-in was the worst we’ve experienced and we’ve rented many cars in Valencia with all the companies. The 2 agents working that day were so busy chatting and giggling with each other and the other workers that we were stuck in a LONG line of people waiting to check in or check out. It took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to get the car and there was no reason for the delay. Every customer in line was clearly as annoyed as we were. That said, our return went smoothly and quickly with a different employee so no complaints on our return. We will not use this RecordGo location again, however.

Sehr unzufrieden bin ich mit der automatischen Verrechnung für das Füllen des Tankes nach der Abgabe. Ich habe das Auto beim Flughafen voll getankt und auch so abgegeben. Ich fühle mich herein gelegt und bin nicht bereit, die mir verrechneten Kosten zu akzeptieren. Ich habe goldcar umgehend geschrieben, aber noch keine Antwort erhalten.

Had a mechanical problem with the car, no one’s fault. One phone call and the switch to a different vehicle was arranged.

Car was a fairly new with a good spec. I couldn't have expected any more. The only issue I would raise is that the Budget booking information stated that they require an International Driving Permit. Even though the UK gov website said it wasn't required by law, I got one just in case . It wasn't requested at pickup.

Dreadful company, the girl called María at the drop off was very rude,

I returned to the desk when I discovered there was additional damage on the car at pickup. This is quite a long walk back into the terminal. Agent at the desk was dismissive, told me it was minor and that it was "impossible" to add the additional damage onto my rental agreement, and that it should be reported when I drop the car off. There was no one to report it to when I returned at the end of my trip. Received an email a few days later attempting to charge almost £200 for damage to an alloy wheel which was there when I picked it up. Luckily I had pictures but it took a very long phone call (over 40 mins on hold) and further emails to resolve the issue and cancel the damage charges. Avoid Budget in Palma!

The car met our expectations. The staff is friendly but still try to upsell their insurance. They blocked my cc for €2000 since I didn’t take their insurance but I had no problem when returning the car.

Primera y última vez. Contratación engañosa. Para dejar una franquicia de 1.400€ es necesario tener un límite de 3.000€ en la tarjeta que no pone en ninguna parte. Total que el seguro que hice no sirvió de nada y tuvimos que pagar 123€ extras al no poder hacer la franquicia ya que "sólo" tenia un límite de 2.000€.

El alquiler, recepción y devolución sin problemas. Todo rápido. El personal muy correcto

En el momento de devolución del vehículo/llaves tuvimos dificultades. El empleado llegó tarde al mostrador y no de muy buen humor. Al realizarle la consulta de cuando me desbloquearian el importe depósito por el combustible, me respondió de manera no del todo correcta que ese mismo día. A día de hoy todavía lo tengo pendiente de desbloquear. Me gustaría que me aclararan este asunto

Nice car, lots of unlisted scratches but they dont seem to care when you return the car which I found surprising (I had taken loads of photos and videos to prove they were there before my rental just in case but it wasnt necessary). Super slow/insufficient staff at check in and pickup is far from the airport and not well indicated at all.

Alquilar un automovil debe ser algo placentero y que el cliente disfrute. Pero desde que uno llega al mostrador parece terrorismo, que el seguro adicional con unos valores super altos, que si le pasa algo al carro practicamente hay que hipotecar todo. Debería cambiar esa parte para que tengan más clientes y contentos. El viaje para mí fue muy bueno hasta que entregué el carro en la oficina. Por un impacto en la luna me cobraron 1200 euros adicionales, un robo total.

Como punto negativo, el vehiculo se entrego con medio depósito y eso dificulta el llenado posterior para la entrega. La necesidad de tener una targeta de crédito y no sólo de débito también puede dar complicaciones.

We were delighted with the car, however we did have to top up the oil when the warning light came on.

I chose Compact (Volkswagen Golf) or similar. But I got a mini crossover Dacia Duster. The car was absolutely new and did it weekend job well.

El día que llegamos a recoger el vehiculo (Ford Fiesta o similar) nos dicen que ellos no tienen Forg Fiesta y lo que tenemos reservado es un Fiat 500!! Los mismo empleados nos dicen que es un coche de categoría inferior. Despues (siempre segun Qeeq) al parecer son de la misma categoría. Viajen ustedes 4 adultos en uno y en el otro y cuentenme si la esperiencia es "similar". Al entregar el vehiculo nadie vino para ver en que condiciones se entrega. Se deja en una plaza donde cualquiera podría rayarlo o causarles desperfectos sin que haya constancia de que fue entregado en buenas condiciones o por lo menos las mismas en las que fue recogido!! Hay que de nuevo fotografiar el vehiculo por todas partes y con dia y hora en la foto por si acaso!!!

Horrible service. They force you to buy an extended insurance from them, even though we already got an AXAinsurance. Big discussion on that. It is also not possible to pay with another credit card ( my husbands) or debit card. When you choose for that, they said that it was only possible when chosing for their insurance.

We forgot a driver's license at home and they were very unwilling to change to a different driver. They did not allow a change, then tried to push us into a very expensive total insurance cover and scare us off from canceling the old and making a new reservation (it would be expensive, would take hours - neither was true).

We were offered an upgrade which we took, agent was helpful clear and did not pressure us

As few other people I was scammed for "taxes" on the spot even though I paid the whole sum of the rent beforehand. Thus a one-star experience, not recommended.

The bumper damage was visible on pick Up, the emoloyee took photos of it and said it was in the database. But on drop off they said they did not see it in the system and wanted to charge us for damages. Luckily we had a video from pick up.

Error en factura en número de km, se ha mandado incidencia.

The car was fine I paid €300 deposit and only received half back so awaiting reason as car came back in the same condition and full of petrol

Very good price, decent car and easy drop off. Pick up took a very long time though even though is was off season, about 1.5 hours from clearly passports to having the car.

Can be long queues and big waits, even if you have checked in online, they don't seem to have a 'just collect your keys' option unlike a few others

Primero, te amenazan como una mafia para que contrates un seguro que no necesitas. Si no lo haces, aunque devuelvas el coche en perfecto estado, te mandan fotos de mala calidad que desaparecen inmediatamente para exigirte más dinero. Ahora entiendo por qué todas las demás empresas de alquiler de coches del aeropuerto estaban llenas de gente y esta estaba vacía.

Service was terrible. They made me wait an hour because my flight was early. Not even because car was not ready. Took me 30 mins to wait for someone to come to look at a body hit on the car. On return they took more than than 10 min to examine every inch of the car with flashlight and photos. Found nothing. They charged 25% tax on the 90 EU extra pay for border crossing in Europe. A disgrace

Pretty ok company. Prices went up, and if you dont take insurance, ensure you get ALL the damages, they never include them all ....

vehicle was not provided, need to take lower category, on top for expebsive insurance, insteqd of 413eur, they blocked 513eur, because of spending about 2 hours to solve the situation and with small kids I had no choice to accept thia situation..

Staff were helpful. It was not clear that car hire was not based at the airport and the directions for the bus were not accurate so we wandered around the airport searching for a while and then had a 20 min wait for a bus. Unsure if this is a QEEQ or Budget issue.
