    Issues with pick up we waited a long time to get the car in line then was embarrassed because they wanted two credit cards which I did not travel with two and additional money which I was NOT expecting!!!     The wait for pickup was really long. There should be a way to pre-register a few things beforehand or extra staff. Also the car had a weird cut in the tire which I wasn't sure was safe but no one is on site when u pick up the vehicle so I could not ask. Also they were a bit weird when it came to tolls and I did not understand the associated fees

    The service was terrible. We arrived at the New York airport store on time to pick up the car, but they didn't reserve the car as per the booking terms. We had to wait for other people to return their cars. When questioned why they didn't honor the contract, they blamed the third party, which is QEEQ, and said we just had to wait. They couldn't even tell us how long we would need to wait, or offered us the option not to rent. We waited at the New York airport store for over 4 hours before getting a car. The kids were so tired they fell asleep on the floor. The car they gave us was not the model we had reserved. After much arguing, we finally got the right model. No one assisted us with inspecting the car or taking it. It was a terrible car rental experience. We will never rent from Budget again.

    I arrived at the store past the reservation time, only to be told there were no cars available and I would have to wait. The duration of the wait was unknown. After a while, they said there was an SUV available for an additional charge. I declined and waited about an hour before they claimed a car was available, a Honda Accent. The car had just been returned and was not washed. It was cold in New York, so they couldn’t wash the car. I was not familiar with the Accent and it sounded odd. I asked the staff about the car size, and they responded 'Full size'. After repeated confirmation, we started the paperwork. The staff secretly added extra items and then asked me to sign. I questioned the amount, and he claimed it matched the order. I had to show him the order for him to remove the extra items. When I finally got the car, it was a Hyundai Accent, not a Honda, which was small and extremely dirty. I couldn't see out of the car and it was undrivable. After arguing with them, they finally gave me a car of the same class as per the order, but it was still dirty and the wiper blades were ineffective, so I had to make do.

    My previous experience renting from Budget was fine; there weren’t many people in line, and the overall situation was relatively good. This time, the line was much longer, almost reaching the door, and we waited for nearly an hour. They initially gave us the designated car, but we couldn’t find it after searching for a long time. When we asked an employee at the pickup location, he said the car wasn’t available even though it was clearly the one reported to the counter via the radio. For some reason, that car had been taken. We had to go back to the counter to talk. After waiting for the counter staff to finish assisting other customers, they offered us a replacement car. However, when we started it, a yellow light on the dashboard indicated an issue. We found the same employee again, and he said the light was faulty and told us to go back to the counter to get another car. On our third trip inside, the line was still extending to the door, and then we found out there were no more cars available of the size we booked since many people had reserved full-size cars. We waited and waited, but no one from the rental company offered us an upgrade. Eventually, they said they had a Chevrolet Malibu available, but it needed to be washed first. We waited for another hour before finally getting the car, spending a total of two hours, the longest I’ve ever spent renting a car. Because of this experience, I might not rent from them again. Additionally, I discovered another problem: the EZPass in the car didn’t work when passing through toll roads, so we had to pay cash, worrying about fines and whether Budget would charge additional service fees. Later, when we returned the car, the counter staff assured us there would be no fines or service fees, but I’m still unsure what will happen.

    I arrived 30 minutes early to pick up the car, they said no cars were available and suggested an upgrade. I chose to wait, and 10 minutes later they provided a car of the same class. They handed me a bunch of forms to sign, and though my English is limited, I trusted them and signed. Fortunately, there were no issues. The return process was simple, taking only about 2 minutes.     The staff at Budget persistently tried to persuade me to upgrade to an SUV for an additional $50 per day. After some insistence, they offered a cheaper upgrade for an extra $15 per day. I'm not sure if it was due to the reserved model being unavailable, forcing an upgrade. Being inexperienced, I took the upgrade, but later realized there wasn't much difference—it was still a hatchback. This was my first time renting from Budget, and I wasn't very satisfied.

    The staff at Kennedy were really polite. I originally booked a car with Dollar, but due to a locked credit card, I had to switch the reservation last minute. I initially reserved a Toyota Camry, but they gave me a Kia W5. I noticed one of the tires had low pressure, so they replaced it with a Chevrolet Malibu. Although I felt the Malibu was a lower tier than the Camry, it was around 4:30 PM and I still had a 5-hour drive ahead to my destination. Because of the language barrier, I just took the car and left. Nonetheless, the staff were very accommodating, checked my order, confirmed I had full insurance, and asked where I was headed to determine if I needed an EZPass. Overall, I am satisfied.

    As I said before I ran into a lot of problems with my cars: - first car looked reasonable but discovered later that rubber of windshield whiper was loose (not practical since it rained a lot). Furthermore car notification that car needed a engine oil now. Had to swap car - second car less comfortable and after one day received a notification of engine malfunction. Had to swap cars again. However, closest Budget location was >60 miles away. Very inconvenient and time consuming - third car was fairly new and quite good. Budget representative tried to give me a Dodge Charger first which is not a SUV at all. Eventually after waiting I was offered a good car. At the end of my trip this car also gave a notification that engine oil change was due.

    Here's a comment you can use for Budget Car Rental: --- I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Budget Car Rental at JFK Airport. Despite booking a car through QEEQ and paying in advance, I encountered several issues. The staff were unhelpful and rude, and I was informed that no cars were available upon arrival. After finally getting a vehicle, I was later hit with an unauthorized charge of USD 1202.39 on my credit card, despite being assured by customer service that there would be no extra fees for dropping off the car at a different location. I’ve tried to resolve this directly with your customer support, but I have yet to receive the refund that was promised. As a visitor from London, this entire experience has been incredibly stressful, and I’m now worried about additional charges on my credit card due to this error. This kind of service is unacceptable, and I would not recommend Budget to anyone based on my experience.

    We were delayed at immigration with an interminable line! By the time we arrived at the Budget office, it was closed. After evaluating the options, I decided to hire a car for 24 hours from Avis; while I was in the Avis office, I heard another customer say that he had a Budget reservation, I asked him about it and he told me that Avis and Budget are the same company, so I was able to pick up the car I had originally reserved from the Avis counter. I was glad I did not spend the extra money on a taxi or additional rental, however a little more information would have gone a long way to relieve the stress and not make us waste another hour looking for solutions, after we had been traveling for more than 24 hours.

    Car drivable but had faults (cruise control and collision warning inoperative and warning lights on). Were not advised of existing damage to bodywork. Car had 90,000 on clock so not a new vehicle. Counter staff and return staff very pleasant and efficient.

    The car pickup process took up to two hours. We arrived at the pickup point 15 minutes earlier than our scheduled time, but had to wait in line and only got the car two hours later. When returning the car, the agreed return point was actually closed two years ago. Can you believe it? Yet, it's the truth.

    Arriving at JFK Airport in New York around 3 AM, there weren't too many people renting cars, about six or seven. I waited in line for about half an hour, completed the formalities by around 4 AM, and then had to wait more than twenty minutes to get the car, wasting my precious two hours.

    The wait at the Budget line at JFK was HORRENDOUSLY long. I arrived only ti find the longest queue was for Budget. I stood in line from 10.30am until 12.30 noon before i was able to get to the counter. The lady who served me mumbled away for most of the time and would walk away from the counter from time to time. It was a shoddy experience. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD EXPERIENCED SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
