I rented from ACE twice, both in Wellington, so I'll comment on both. The first time, an older gentleman helped me. He was very slow typing and wasted a lot of time; it took almost an hour to get the car. The second time, a young lady assisted me. She was very professional and kept pushing for the quick claim service, repeating it multiple times. The Auckland branch is good, with early opening hours—starting at six in the morning.
Waited 15 minutes even though we were the only customers at reception. The necessary documents were not prepared in advance, so we waited another 15 minutes to receive the rental agreement and contract.
The car had over 220k, beat up looking on outside, amazed that the inside was so clean
