CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON ALAMO AT ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MCO

J'avais réservé une Ford Mustang Cabriolet sur le site Easyrentcars.com. Le site m'a routé sur Alamo, que j'ai retenu car le moins cher dans le comparatif (vraiment moins cher que les autres loueurs). Le modèle précis de la Mustang n'était pas précisé et cela m'était égal, je voulais juste rouler en Mustang Cabriolet. Lors du retrait du véhicule, la dame du comptoir ALAMO m'a indiqué m'upgrader vers la Ford Mustang Cabriolet en version V8 5.0litres (le gros moteur), car cela lui faisait plaisir de me l'offrir. Je lui ai demandé de me confirmer à 2 reprises (pour être sûr de bien comprendre) que ce serait sans aucun surcoût. Grande déception et colère au moment de restituer le véhicule : je découvre que l'on me facture un supplément de 20 dollars par jour pour upgrade ! Soit 140 dollars de supplément puisque j'avais loué pour 7 jours. J'ai dû me mettre en colère pour que le supplément soit annulé et cela m'a pris 45 minutes. Heureusement que j'avais de la marge pour prendre mon avion... Donc ma recommandation : n'acceptez pas l'upgrade offert, car c'est une arnaque et une tentative de vous facturer plus à la restitution, si vous n'avez pas le temps ou si vous n'osez pas vous y opposer. Comme ils ont l'empreinte de votre carte bancaire, c'est infaillible. C'est vraiment inadmissible comme pratique ! Au final cela s'est bien fini pour moi, car je parle bien anglais et que j'ai tout de suite pris les mesures (refus de signer le bon de retour et le solde de tout compte - attente au bureau des réclamations où je me suis mis en colère tout de suite pour qu'ils comprennent immédiatement que je ne me laisserais pas faire).

Car met expectations, a few minor scrapes on it but nothing major. Received the car that I had wanted and expected. No hard sell for any extras. No queue on arrival and process was completed very swiftly. No complaints at all.

Booking was relatively simple. Read some bad reviews afterwards which gave me some doubts but received everything that I had requested once at arrival airport (Orlando). No complaints at all.

Only thing better would of been lower cost

The staff was very friendly and patient. You can handle the rental at a self-service kiosk, but our domestic driving licenses still needed to be verified at a manual counter. All the fees were clearly explained, and there were no ambiguous charges. As we were about to leave the airport in the rental car, the inspector found that our selected car was still under maintenance because its license plate had expired. They immediately brought another car for us. In the process of changing cars, we carelessly left our phone in the original car. The staff quickly called the person who had taken the original car and had it returned, so we got our phone back. Overall, the car rental process was very smooth, and the staff had excellent attitudes.

On the 1st rental day I got a flat tire and had to exchange vehicle. Was upgraded from a midsize to and SUV free of Charge. Very impressive customer service from Louis and the Alamo team at the airport.

Apart from recommending the service of not returning the car with a full tank, everything else was satisfactory.

The car choice was very disappointed really the cars where the basic cheap models nothing much in them!! Air con in the one we had was rubbish considering it only had 3500 miles on when we picked it up!! So really time to consider dollar rent a car lot cheaper for the same car we went Alamo because usually they had better spec cars but not this time rubbish really!

I loved the Ford Fiesta - it was comfortable and clean. Easier to operate a/c and radio than previous rentals.

its a great experience with Alamo they were very friendly over the airport counter and were very clear on there directives , the drop off was very simple though I ran 10 mins late due to heavy rains which suddenly came up

On picking up the car the member of staff at the Alamo counter tried to tell me the car i had booked was too small for myself and my child and would not fit my two cases in the boot, this was not the case at all, the car very comfortably fit all our luggage in and an extra case plus hand luggage on our return to the airport. He also implied I did not have sufficient insurance even though i had booked the top cover that Easyrentcars offered (including road side recovery). I was made to sign paper work whilst the staff member told me to sign my life away. This was most upsetting and he was obviously trying to oversell and rip off a woman travelling alone with a child. absolutely shocking experience. The back seat of the car was soaking wet, though we were told to return the car empty because of this.

Staff trying to upsell to much putting on extensive pressure to spend more on a smaller more expensive vehicle and basically been negative in the vehicle I had booked. When i declined numerous times attitude changed negatively. Also when signing documents just told to sign in various places but with no explanation on what I was signing for. Don't get the access insurance instead save by doing it yourself at www.carhireaccess.com who were $44 cheaper than Alamo. The Chevrolet mini bus I booked did 13.5mpg to the gallon so its thirsty. Good job petrol is cheaper in the usa than the uk. It's about £0.56p a litre compared to £1.32 in the uk.
