Pickup and return were very convenient! However, they didn't explain how to pay the toll fees. A $1 toll ended up costing $25 in processing fees each time, which was a bit annoying.

The rental store is very close to Chicago Airport. After picking up our luggage at Chicago Airport, we went directly to the airport's main entrance to wait. There were Dollar company shuttle buses (we might have been lucky as we boarded the shuttle within two minutes; when carrying lots of luggage, the driver would even help). Most of the staff at the store are African American, but their service was acceptable.
I reserved a Ford Focus but received a Hyundai Verna hatchback. These are clearly two different classes of cars and they refused to change it, yet the price remained the same. The service was very poor.
The reception staff had a good attitude. Although we booked a Toyota, we got a Hyundai, but the car was new and served its purpose. The staff tried to sell us many additional items, but we only chose the i-pass at $9 per day. It's not cheap, but it is very convenient for toll roads. When we returned the car, we were charged an additional $180, which was more than half of our total rental fee (2300 RMB). Despite the staff's explanations about taxes and a few hours' delay in returning the car, we still felt unhappy. Taxes should be disclosed in advance or included in the rental fee. Additionally, for a few hours' delay, charging for an extra day should suffice.
Before picking up the car, I had already purchased additional, comprehensive insurance and driver/passenger coverage from Zuzuche. Upon arrival, I informed the Dollar car rental agent that I had already purchased all the necessary insurances and showed them the documents. Despite this, the agent still asked if I wanted roadside assistance, pre-paid fuel, and a bunch of other extras. I declined all of them, signed the contract, and thanked him. But when I reviewed the contract, I noticed that all the extras, which I had refused, were included, adding over $600 to the bill. I immediately went back to the counter, only to find the agent missing. I had another staff member summon him, and told him I had clearly declined these extras, yet they were included in the contract. He asked if I was sure I didn't want them, and warned that I would be responsible for any issues without the coverage. I confirmed my decision, and he reprinted the contract as per my instructions. If my English wasn't good, or if I hadn't read the necessary travel reminders from Zuzuche, I might have ended up paying the extra charges. Additionally, a day later, I noticed my rental period was extended to 11 days instead of the 10 days I had booked. Thankfully, Zuzuche resolved this by refunding the extra day's cost. I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue or just an isolated incident with a poor representative.
Dollar's shuttle buses are somewhat infrequent. When I arrived in the afternoon, I waited over 10 minutes for a bus, initially thinking I was at the wrong spot. I asked the airport staff twice and was reassured it would come. The service, however, was excellent—it might have just been my timing with fewer buses running. Hopefully, this is an isolated incident.
Dislike: We were told upon pickup that the rental was invalid because we were residents of the USA. They said we were somehow avoiding US taxes with the rental we had found through EasyRent Cars. If I hadn't been a Dollar Express member I believe they would have declined to provide us the vehicle.
The store promoted full insurance. Since it was my first time renting a car in the US, I bought the full insurance for 2 days due to concerns about accidents. However, the store didn't explain how to check for violations or how to pay for them.
Because I picked up the car on a Saturday, the reserved model was unavailable. However, they provided a car of the same class, although it was an older vehicle.
