Everything was quite good. I rented a car in Sydney and got a Nissan Sylphy. I noticed they mostly have Nissan Sylphys, Toyota Corollas, and Suzuki Swifts. Returning the car at Brisbane Airport was quick, and they even provided a shuttle to the airport. Nice.
The company staff are very friendly and patient. They provided airport shuttle service and gave us a map along with some sightseeing suggestions. The vehicle was spacious, an 8-seater, perfect for our group of 6 adults and a baby. The baby seat was installed in the middle with an adult on each side; it wasn't cramped at all. The trunk is very large, fitting 3 large suitcases and 2 small ones. The car was in great condition, having only 75,000 kilometers on it, practically a new car. My family was very satisfied.
The car pickup process was quick, and the service was attentive. There were two efficient young men at the store. I made some requests during the car inspection, and they were very patient and meticulous.
We had booked a Mitsubishi SUV but actually got a Honda SUV. I had requested a booster seat via email, and they confirmed it, but at the location, they only had child safety seats, which were a bit more expensive but my child was very comfortable and safer!
Returning the car was even simpler. We reached the airport branch almost exactly at 7 PM. The two young men were waiting for us at the entrance, and they completed the inspection in less than a minute. They didn't ask any of the questions I had prepared answers for. The shuttle to the airport was ready in advance.
The entire process was excellent and we had no complaints about East Coast. Full marks!
I initially didn’t want to give 5 stars. Why don't other car rental companies require a deposit? This one charges me 1000 AUD as a deposit, and it’s a direct charge, not a pre-authorization. They said it would be refunded 3-4 days after the car is returned, but later when I contacted QEEQ they said it would take a month. I rent cars in Brisbane and other cities, and some rentals are from this company. Every time I rent, they charge a 1000 AUD deposit. QEEQ stated that different cities and locations have different policies, which is why the deposit is charged each time. Next time I’d rather rent from AVIS than this company. Good service means nothing if the procedures are poor. A small company is still a small company.
Not far from the airport, prompt pick-up and drop-off. Attentive service, they even provided a free navigation system. The car was new and in good condition. However, the rental company requires the renter to log in and check toll charges themselves, which is inconvenient for foreign visitors. It would be better if the rental company could check the tolls and deduct the fees from the renter's credit card, then notify them.
After exiting Sydney Airport, turn right and walk along the overpass to bey 35. Call East Coast and a Toyota HiAce with their logo will pick you up in about ten minutes. After passing the Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, and Maotai billboard, turn left for a bit and you will arrive. The car rental process is quite simple, and the staff are very friendly. They did not push extra insurance when we declined it. We booked a Toyota Corolla but were provided with a Nissan Sylphy instead. The car was very new, with good power and space, and was comfortable for our family of three. We drove 3100 km in 12 days and only spent a little over 900 RMB on fuel. With a budget of just over 1200 RMB, it was really cost-effective. Returning the car was also convenient, and they arranged a car to take us to the airport. Although this company is relatively small, we saw many of their cars on the road in Australia, and their service was good.
The rental process is simple, but unlike other companies, this one doesn't have a storefront at Sydney International Airport. Instead, you need to call and arrange for the staff to deliver the car.
Satisfied! Although the rental location was not within the airport, they sent a shuttle immediately after I called the QEEQ website. The car was in good condition, and the service was attentive. I will rent from them again next time.
The store is very easy to find, right at the bus stop. There is space for about three to four cars at the front, although I'm not sure where their garage is. However, when you go to pick up the car, they bring it over very quickly. The receptionist has a heavy accent, making it hard to understand details about insurance and tolls, so you have to ask several times. But the service attitude is excellent. Also, the guy responsible for handing over the car is super handsome!!!!
The location is too far, and there were no prior instructions on how to get to the store. Additionally, the excess includes situations where another party hits our car, requiring us to pay 5500 AUD. This is very unreasonable.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
