When picking up the car, they said the reserved car wasn't cleaned yet and suggested an upgrade for eight dollars, which I accepted. However, the actual bill was $47.84. Returned the car on 7/30, and on 8/15, they charged $450, claiming there was a smoke smell in the car. This is nonsense as I don't smoke, and when I returned the car, the staff inspected it and didn't mention any smoke smell. How could it smell like smoke 15 days later? The rental car customer service was unable to resolve it, so I had to call myself. After some argument, the Avis customer service said they would refund the money. It's simply extortion.
Overall satisfied. One day, the car key got locked inside the car. The rental store staff said they didn't have a spare key and advised me to call and pay 130 on my own.
Clearly stated that no additional services were needed, but they added roadside assistance, incurring extra costs. No Chinese confirmation form was provided.
It was a really bad experience. Initially, the deposit was said to be $200, but at the store, it was changed to $250. They overcharged me $50 for fuel on the contract. When I returned the car, I filled up the gas tank, and I contacted customer service to get a refund for the extra fuel I added. I provided my credit card statement, including dates and amounts, but it was useless. They required the number of gallons, the specific gas station, and other specifics. Very poor service, in the end, I only got $30 back from the deposit. I strongly advise against choosing this rental company, AVIS is terrible, never choose them again. Very poor, will not choose this company again.
I requested a small car to keep the fuel costs down. The car I was given was a Nissan. Sentra, which at the time seemed good but it turned out not only to be a gutless wonder but a gas hog to boot! The car was really noisy as well, so must not have been very well insulated. I will say though that the staff were friendly, polite & helpful.

I clearly told the staff not to add any additional charges. I was going to refuel the car myself. However, the staff still added the charges and deducted over $180 from me, and I haven't received any response yet.

Very straightforward. Once I got to the rental centre, the guy at the desk was very efficient. I had to wait about 15 mins for the car but that wasn't a problem at all.

Overall, it was okay. The service was efficient, but I was charged hidden fees. After communicating with customer service, I got some of it back, but the final price was still higher than expected.
