HERTZ CAR RENTAL REVIEWS IN THAILAND

I previously rented a car from this company in Thailand and had a great experience, so I'll continue to use them even if they're a bit more expensive. It's really good!

Excellent experience. Picking up and returning the car was very convenient.

The car had over 100,000 kilometers. On the second day after getting the car, the tire burst without even driving (the previously patched area exploded). The parking brake got stuck, making the vehicle unmovable. I reported the problem before 10 AM and contacted the rental company, asking for a replacement since I had over 1,000 kilometers ahead and didn't feel safe driving it. The rental company only offered roadside assistance, saying they had no replacement vehicles. It wasn't until 1:30 PM that someone came to replace the spare tire and manually fixed the stuck brake. I followed him to the repair center, where, after discussing the safety of the vehicle, they slowly started considering a replacement. When I contacted the rental company's customer service, they still insisted on repairing rather than replacing the car, with completely inconsistent information. I had to repeatedly ask the repair center myself. This rental location is really unreliable. I had to keep pushing them throughout the process, fearing that repairs wouldn't be done in time for my afternoon trip to Pattaya. They only offered repairs and refused to provide a replacement. It took until nearly 4 PM in the 36-degree heat before I received a new car. The person who replaced the car laughed and apologized for being late – it felt intentional. Clearly, they had cars available. We were three women, and one of my friends was moved to tears out of frustration. After renting cars for so many years, Hertz is definitely one to avoid!

I had to repeatedly ask the assistance center myself. Avoid this store at all costs! I kept urging them, fearing the repairs would delay my trip to Pattaya in the afternoon. They insisted on repairing instead of replacing the car, and in the 36-degree heat, I had to deal with this mess. It wasn't until nearly 4 PM that I got the replacement car. The person who brought the new car arrived with a smile and apologized for being late. Clearly, they had a car all along. We were three women, and one of my friends was in tears from frustration. I've rented cars for many years, and Hertz is definitely one to avoid!

Thai people are quite nice. Even though I returned the car a day late, they didn't charge extra. But it's true that you can't reach them after office hours. (//∇//)

The car had nearly 100,000 kilometers on it, was old and worn out, had poor sound insulation and leaked air, and the tires were almost bald. This is the worst car I've rented in Thailand, and I won't choose Hertz again.

The car was very new, and the staff had a good attitude. Overall, it was a great experience.

Excellent service

The fuel gauge was down by three marks, which is less than 1/5 of the tank, yet they charged me 1284 baht, which is enough to fill a whole tank.

Overall, it went pretty smoothly.
