Apex had not received my details nor payment after booking thru QEEQ. As my flight was delayed and I arrived at my destination late (4:30pm), apex refused to pick us up from the airport because they state last pick up at 4pm. They offered to call me a taxi at my cost and they close at 5pm so I was struggling to make it in time. They had no details nor payment thanks to QEEQ so I couldn’t even get a refund.

Booking process wasn't very good first time as I drop the car off at 3am, it started at 7am so I was thinking the gates must be closed, which in the past has stopped me from hiring from ACE, but now I know about the early drop off I will use ACE again

The car was in good condition and the trunk was large enough to fit two 28-inch, two 26-inch, and one 20-inch suitcase, totaling five pieces of luggage. The store is a bit far from Perth Airport; you need to contact a shuttle, which took some effort. Fortunately, I met an employee from another rental company who helped me call for a shuttle. The shuttle service was great, the vehicle was spacious, and after returning the car, they kindly took us back to the airport. Big thumbs up to the driver (definitely over 70 years old).

They didn't inform me that after-hours self-service pickup wasn't available.
This rental company closes in the afternoon, so we couldn't get the car the same day. We had to take a taxi to the downtown hotel, which cost nearly 2,000 yuan round-trip and was hard to find. It took over an hour of walking and taking a taxi to locate it. Don't be tempted by the low prices; it's better to choose big brands like Avis. Also, their cars are not owned by them but are in collaboration with big brands, prioritizing their own customers' reservations.

The service attitude of the staff and their headquarters was extremely poor, filled with discrimination against Chinese people; when picking up the car, due to arriving a bit early, there was earlier communication that if picking up early, the return should also be earlier, but the staff's unprofessionalism almost caused an extra charge of more than 200 dollars.

The overall service was very mediocre. We told the Europe Car staff several times that we wanted medium insurance, but they secretly switched it to premium and made us pay for it. Really disgusting.
We actually rented an MG that had only run about 10,000 km, but both the accelerator and brakes were very loose. The long-distance drive on the highway was terrible. Definitely avoid! Moreover, the price we paid at the store was much higher. We booked a Mitsubishi but ended up with an MG.

Pros: The pickup and drop-off locations are very convenient. The staff is also very friendly, and the vehicle's condition is quite good. Cons: There's no clear information about self-service return, no clear return instructions, and no one to inspect the car with you (relying entirely on mutual trust). No one explains how to use the vehicle. The parking lot even lacks staff to consult about driving the vehicle. But I had the same experience with Avis before. Maybe it's assumed that passengers renting the car are already familiar with it. Overall, it's still quite easy and hassle-free. If you're particular about what I've described, I recommend asking the counter staff for all the necessary information when handling the procedures.

The actual supplier was Europcar. We arrived at 6:30 AM, and there was no one at the airport counter. We had to go to the office outside. (I guess it was because it was Sunday morning, and only Hertz had someone at the counter. Because of this, I will definitely rent from Hertz next time.) We paid half of the fee online and the other half at the store. The staff was not very familiar with the fees and overcharged us. Luckily, I had saved the receipt and got it corrected by showing it to them. When we returned the car at 2:30 PM, a few hours before our flight, no one was at the airport counter again. We had to leave the keys in their designated box. A few days later, they sent us a message asking for an extra AUD 400 for late return. Fortunately, I had taken photos and I'm now waiting for their response. If they continue to be unreasonable, I will fight for my rights. I advise everyone to take photos before returning the car, including the fuel gauge and the car's exterior, to avoid unnecessary issues.

The counter staff were terrible. When he went to debit my card for the balance owing and bond fee, I questioned what he was charging me. I was informed that I didn't have collision waiver insurance. I assured the staff that I did and that it was on my contract. I told him that when I added up the numbers he was giving me that it did not add up to what he was trying to debit the card for. He told me to be more respectful with what I was saying to him. I had merely told him that "when I went to school the numbers you are giving me add up to X, and you are trying to charge me X. He still insisted that I had no insurance. He then went on to suggest that perhaps I should take more care when making travel arrangements and watch what I am doing. The end result was that I did in fact have insurance. This took approximately 1 hr to sort out. I suggested to him in the end that perhaps he should have more respect for the customer and read the paperwork that I had placed in front of him that clearly stated I had insurance.

Dislike: On picking up the vehicle via the Perth Airport, I was left at the airport almost 2 hours without communication. On arriving at the airport, I rang the company and was advised that they would have someone there to pick me up as soon as possible as the pick-up car still had a run to do to the international airport. Then nothing. I tried to ring the company again and again and no response. I rang the base company in Sydney and they said they would check it out but no answer back. Rang everyone again and again but no responses except to say that they couldn't connect to the Perth base. After about 2 hours, I decided to catch a taxi to the street address. All they had to say was that the phones were down and that there was nothing they could do about it. They were not at all concerned about my situation. I was so angry by this time. Surely, a business such as this, would have mobile phones to use in such situations! However, I was very happy about the car itself. Very comfy and great to drive. Good on petrol. Allnwas good when returning the car.

The water for the windscreen wipers was empty. A reversing light was out. More attention to these small things is important - suggest you develop a checklist for getting cars ready for clients. Your service people in Perth sold us additional insurance which we discovered an hour later was not needed. Now we are waiting for a refund. They didn't know who the underwriter was for the insurance. Very poor

Confusing instructions on pick up area at airport. Person was not familiar with the airport layout. Long time to wait (told it could be up to 30 minutes) and office is long distance from airport. Told that the car was fully fueled but only 3/4 full. Multiple warning indicators in car including low windscreen fluid levels, low tire pressure and needing servicing. Only positive comment is the van driver was very friendly and helpful.

Missed the friendly staff, encountered unfriendly ones. They tried to scare me into buying insurance, otherwise I had to put down a 5000 AUD deposit. Even after multiple refusals, they kept pushing the insurance. In the end, I had to unwillingly add insurance that cost half of the car rental fee. I won't choose Apollo next time.

Company staff take up time by explaining insurance policies even when we insist we don't need them. Note that a card payment of AUD 5000 is required as a deposit when picking up the car, along with a AUD 100 handling fee. By opting for their first-tier package, the deposit can be reduced to AUD 2500, and the second-tier package waives the deposit completely. However, with the insurance we already bought on the rental platform, spending AUD 900-1500 is unnecessary.
