We had a companion who spoke Italian, so communication with the staff was easy. We even enjoyed some coffee together. When returning the car, there were minor scratches, but they didn't make a big deal out of it. Overall, it was pretty good.
We were supposed to pick up the car at 5 PM, and we had booked an automatic transmission. However, they tried to give us a manual without asking. Later, they said the automatic would be available around 7 PM, making us miss our hotel check-in, requiring us to book another hotel at almost 100 euros. We had to wait in a long line at around 4 PM. Extremely dissatisfied.
Rental process was quick and return was easy, but there was an additional €20 refueling service fee on top of the fuel cost as the car wasn't returned full
If you're for the first time in MXP airport is a little tricky to find where are the rental cars parked. Not enough signs to guide you there.

The customer service tried hard to get me to buy insurance. They vaguely suggested that I purchase it. When I refused after realizing it, they initially said it was mandatory. They only canceled the insurance after seeing I was firm.

When I picked up the car, Europcar switched my booking from a Mercedes C-Class to a Skoda sedan. I didn't notice the exact model, but the vehicle might have been bigger. However, the driving experience was not as good as the C-Class! The worst part was that after giving me the keys, the staff didn't accompany me to inspect the car. I was careless and drove off without taking photos of all sides of the car. This led to a problem when I returned the vehicle. The staff inspected the car thoroughly and found a scratch on the right rear door, which I believe was an old scratch. Without photos, I had no way to prove my point. I ended up being charged 200 euros for a very small scratch by Europcar. Despite having bought comprehensive insurance from Ping An through Zuzuche, making an international call to file a claim and waiting for Ping An's response was a hassle. I suggest buying insurance directly from a local provider for smoother claim processes.
They didn't show me the contract before asking for my credit card. I communicated with the car rental platform about this issue, which took twenty minutes. The clerk was very unhappy and said I wasted her time.
The store location is convenient. It's in the hall opposite the airport arrival area, in the same building as the train to the city. The front desk reception is very professional, the queue time is not long, and they do not push insurance aggressively. The process was quite fast. What impressed me the most was the quick refund of the deposit, which was done the next day after returning the car! Much faster than my previous car rental experiences.
