Waited in line for over two hours to pick up the car. The staff had a very poor attitude and aggressively pushed additional services like roadside assistance and ETC. The car had only half a tank of gas at pickup, and the final bill was $140 more than expected. This company is not trustworthy, be cautious.
AVIS is a well-known car rental company, and I've used them before, thinking they should be fine. However, in late March, I rented a car at Los Angeles Airport and encountered an unprecedented situation. Arriving at the AVIS airport rental point around 3 PM, I saw a long queue at the counter, nearly extending out the door. After about an hour of waiting, I finally completed the paperwork. I thought I could just take the contract outside and pick up a car, but was told by the staff there that I needed to wait another 1-2 hours for the car. I was shocked and only then noticed many others waiting for cars. Eventually, I got the car after 6 PM. Not only was the pickup slow, but returning the car also had issues. About a week after returning the car, I found a $102 charge from AVIS on my credit card. Customer service said it was for refueling since the car was returned without a full tank. However, I clearly returned it with a full tank, which was checked by the staff at the return point. After providing evidence and having customer service contact AVIS, I finally got the $102 refunded to my credit card last week. Kudos to the rental service's customer support for their responsibility and efficiency.
I reserved a RAV4 which is an F group vehicle, but was given an HRV which is a C group vehicle, resulting in a downgrade. The wait time was extremely long, and the whole process took nearly two hours.

About AVIS:8.0/10
Waited nearly an hour to pick up the car. The staff was very friendly, but we were tricked because of the language barrier. Be sure to use translation software to read the terms before signing.
Waited for two hours, AVIS had only 3-4 counters open. Everyone in the room waited an average of one and a half to two hours. A week ago, my friend also rented here and waited for two hours. AVIS has no intention of speeding up or improving the service. If you want fast service, definitely avoid AVIS at Los Angeles.
Avis is generally okay, but the branch at the airport is quite average. What car you get depends on luck. Overall, the mileage on the cars is relatively new, but the interiors are not cleaned for you. The car pickup process requires minimal paperwork, just a translated document, and it's better to print it out. My advice is to buy full insurance on QEEQ and say 'No' to any additional offers at the store to avoid hassles with deductions.
There were too many people in line, waited for over half an hour. The staff repeatedly recommended insurance even though I informed them I already bought it from Zuzuche.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
