The store has two counters, there were no other customers in front of us, so my friend and I processed at the same time, very efficient and good service.
I clearly stated on my phone that I did not want any additional services, but I was unknowingly charged for insurance. This is outrageous and unacceptable! My friend rented a car from another company, Europcar, and also faced pressure to buy insurance. She asked me to translate her refusal, and although the representative was not pleased, they did not charge her for insurance. Hertz’s behavior is infuriating and disgusting! The female staff member clearly nodded and understood my request for no insurance, but the final bill still included over 300 euros for insurance.
The guy on our return was quite rude. The way he drove the rental car, the way he accused us of damaging the car. The Canadian guy when we arrived couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
The paperwork took an hour. Initially, they said there was no automatic transmission available, then they gave me a diesel Renault. The problem with this big car was that I couldn't drive it out of the parking lot, so I had to come back and exchange it. It was quite a hassle. Even though I had already bought full insurance, they still made me buy insurance. Since I don't understand Spanish, they said it was a deposit that would be refunded. I was with my child, so I signed it. Later, when I asked the rental company, they confirmed I already had full insurance. Just a reminder, do not sign if the amount doesn't match when you pick up the car!
The return office was closed and we were sked to drop off the key in a box. This leaves the customer feeling insecure as the vehicle isnt checked for scratches etc.
I placed my car rental order at least two months in advance, yet I had to wait over an hour to complete the paperwork and our chosen model wasn't available. Despite booking so early, they switched our car and made us wait so long. I have no idea what you guys are doing.
The car rental counter is located in Terminal 2 and is clearly marked. The pickup process was simple and smooth. After completing the paperwork, you go to the parking lot and find the key counter. The process was seamless and the staff were welcoming.

About Hertz:6.0/10
Honestly, the service was just average. I bought full insurance through Zuzuche, but they still tried to sell me their own insurance, explaining how much I might have to pay if there was an accident. The car they provided was quite old and had many scratches, so make sure to check it thoroughly.
The car rental customer service was a Spanish lady who tried to sell me additional insurance. Despite me showing proof that I had already purchased full coverage, she refused to look at it and exaggeratedly claimed, 'What you bought is yours, what I recommend is mine. If you didn't buy it...!' We firmly and repeatedly emphasized that we would not purchase additional insurance. We resolutely said NO! Then she got a bit angry and ignored me. After a standoff, I asked if I could get the car keys. She responded that it wasn't 3 PM yet, which was my scheduled pickup time. So, I stepped back a few steps, waited for a few minutes, and received a pickup note or possibly a contract. She vaguely pointed to the side with her hand. I assumed I had to get the keys from the neighboring window, but the lady at the neighboring window told me to go to the parking lot at the back to get the car! Apart from the unpleasant experience with the insurance upselling, everything else was fine. If I had accepted her insurance offer, the total cost would have reached 600 Euros, which is double the price!

About Hertz:2.0/10
They took advantage of us not understanding English, and noted on the rental form that we chose prepaid fuel. When I questioned this, the staff claimed it was a fuel deposit for returning the car at a different location, and it would be refunded if returned full. But the bank charges showed no refund, and they overcharged by $300. No idea what the fee is! Never renting from Hertz or Thrifty again!!!! Currently trying to find out through the rental platform what the $300 charge is for.
The vehicle was poorly maintained; after driving less than 100 kilometers, an AdBlue warning appeared. Not having driven a diesel before, I didn't know what AdBlue was and almost had a breakdown. Ended up spending money on AdBlue myself, which delayed my trip by nearly an hour.
They said they close at 12pm, but when we arrived at 11am, no one was there. When we picked up the car, they upgraded us without informing, due to the language barrier we didn't know. We booked for 3800 on QEEQ, but at the rental company it became over 6000; it felt like we were completely scammed because of the language barrier.
