The service attitude was excellent. I was given a new Skoda Kamio with 16.9km mileage, the car was efficient and fuel-saving! French people have a typical style - they start work late!
Europecar offered me a SERES3 EV. I asked them for another car such as Peugeot, Renault, Citroën, etc, but they said they have only Chinese EV cars or Tesla for extra 100 €. I didn't accept Tesla, and take Seres3. During my drive on the first day, the car had problem with electric system. I went to the Europcar Agency in Montpelier Airport. At the beginning they refused to change the car. I called Europcar Help Center and QEEQ help center but didn't contact to anybody. I resist to change the car and they accept to change the car with MG4. This EV car was OK and I completed my travel without another problems.
About QEEQ:7.0/10
Booking platform is working very well but help center is not.
The rating for Europcar at Charles de Gaulle Airport is highly inaccurate. It was said to be 9.2 out of 10, but according to Google, it's actually very poor with a score of only 2 out of 5. When picking up the car, a female employee from Europcar aggressively pushed insurance on me and insisted I cancel the comprehensive insurance I had already purchased to buy her recommended one. I firmly refused. She then gave me a hard time by not letting me pay for the cross-border fee, claiming I wouldn't be insured if I drove across the border. I had to take the car and continue my planned trip in southern France while contacting Zuzuche customer service. They advised me to speak to Europcar staff in Arles, but that branch also refused to amend the contract. Finally, when I reached Avignon, I went to another Europcar branch where, with direct coordination from Zuzuche customer service, the cross-border fee was processed, the contract was re-signed, and I obtained cross-border insurance to avoid driving without coverage.
The service was good. When returning the car, they tried to say that the existing scratches were caused by us, but upon showing the photos taken during pickup, the staff said it was okay.
I do not recommend Europcar. I had to wait in line for an hour to pick up the car, and the service was poor. The car they gave me was full of scratches. It felt like they treat Chinese people particularly unfriendly, never giving us good cars. It seems like they are trying to rip us off.
The overall service at the car rental location was very poor! They kept trying to upsell me to a higher-tier car at the beginning, and only stopped after I repeatedly refused. Then, they tried to sell me their insurance. Following the guidelines from the rental platform, I brought a credit card with a Visa logo and sufficient credit limit that worked in other stores, but their POS machine couldn't process the deposit. This caused me to wait on-site for four hours, severely affecting my schedule! After finally completing the paperwork, they handed me just one key and told me to find the car in the parking lot myself. The experience was mediocre. The drop-off location was okay, but when I tried to take photos, the staff stopped me, saying there was no need to worry. I don't know if there was really nothing to worry about or some other reason.
Besides, the car's quality was also average. The windshield washer fluid was almost empty, running out after just two uses. On the last day, it also indicated low battery voltage. Overall, I felt it wasn't worth the money. It was a rip-off!!!
“Mr. Nabil. Great professional service at Europcar Geneva airport (French side )”
About Europcar:7.0/10
rental counter was soso, the salesperson do not really explain the detail how to check the car or explain that customer must check within 2hrs if there any damage of the car..all in French and counter should explain to the customer but instead trying to sell customer many things..
however, the best staff at the pick up area is Mr. Nabil..he is very good, explain how to use the EV car as this is the first time i use EV car..he spent at least half hour explain how to use. This is customer service..Mr. Nabil should be manage the entire Europa at this division and should at least get bonus and get a good raise for his good attitude and services. Very professional..unlike the staff from the counter which is very poor service.
