“Was good but the invoice in Turkish language with amount of 1,222 TL has to be clarified urgently”
About AVIS:9.0/10
After dropping the car in best condition and the receiver told me that, I received by email from Avis Turkey in Turkish language an invoice for total of 1,222 TL while i already paid for my car rental to you in ADVANCE! I called their number several times but no body answered. Pls clarify with them as i will NOT pay twice for car rental.
The car remained in perfect condition throughout the entire rental period, and I drove it with care. Unfortunately, it rained heavily the second day, making the car a bit dirty. When I returned the car, I mentioned that I was willing to pay for a car wash. To my surprise, the rental company quoted 150 lira, calling it a discounted price. I was frankly shocked.
It was my first time renting a car and I had no experience. The staff didn't thoroughly inspect the car's exterior and condition with us when we picked it up. They should have checked together with us and provided a checklist. When returning the car, they asked for this checklist and I told them I never got one. As a result, small scratches that were already there were blamed on me. On the second day, I noticed an issue with the left rear tire pressure and asked the car rental people to check it. They just reset the warning on the dashboard and said it was fine. The third day, it still showed low tire pressure, and again they just added air without thorough inspection. We ended up inspecting the wheel ourselves and found no puncture, so we drove several hundred kilometers while constantly adding air to the left rear tire. When returning the car, there was no one at the drop-off point. I called multiple times with no answer until I found someone asleep in a nearby car after about ten minutes. The night before, I had refueled but the gauge was slightly below full when we reached the airport. They charged me 50 lira for fuel, even though half a tank only cost less than 200 lira. The staff pocketed the money and marked the fuel gauge as full. The staff were indifferent and arrogant, trying to sell me insurance. Aside from a Chinese-speaking staff in Izmir who was polite, the overall experience was extremely poor. I won't rent from this company again and don't understand where their good reviews come from.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
