EZU CAR RENTAL REVIEWS IN NEW ZEALAND

I booked an Accord! They gave me a Camry with over 240,000 km! I can't accept this. The rental company said I was looking for a cheap deal, so this is the car I get. They also said I could cancel the rental. After traveling so far to their location, they told me to cancel. Finally, they gave me a Nissan March. After driving around the South Island for 17 days, I haven't seen a car in worse condition than this one! The rental company wouldn't refund the price difference either, claiming that the price for the medium-sized car I booked is the same as this small broken car! Whatever, I'm unfamiliar with the place!

Very good. The guy who picked us up at the airport was very patient. I got lost and he searched everywhere for us. Later, when the car had an issue on the way to Hobbiton, the gentleman on the phone helped us immediately. It was very prompt and reliable. Thanks to them, otherwise, I would have been very stressed.

The car was quite old, and there was a lot of noise while driving. However, the pickup and drop-off services were excellent.

This would have to be the worst car rental experience that I have ever experienced having rented cars in most continents. I will recommend everyone NOT renting from EZU. Firstly, it took well over 30 mins for the van to pick us up from the airport. Then the car given to us was over 10 years old and had over 210k kms on the clock. We picked the car up at night. Inside the car was a mess and I didn’t even want to sit in the car as it was filthy with 10 years of grime on the inside.. The rental form had that there were no defects on the car and given that we couldn’t see at night we looked the next morning. It would be lucky if any panels of the car weren’t scratched. We could barely get the car over 80 kms per hour and the car would then start to shake making the car very unsafe. We called the office to complain about these things and never got a return phone call. Having rented a lot of cars over the world, I am sorry to say that this is by far the worst experience that I have ever had. The only positive comment is that your team didn’t try and claim damage insurance on the car when I returned.
